Who I Am
Hi friends! My name is Megan, I am the creator of this blog. Here is a little introduction to who I am and why I started this blog:
I’ve struggled with my mental health since I was about 12 years old. For a long time, I felt like I didn’t quite fit anywhere, like everyone else had the rules for life and I’d somehow missed the memo.
In my twenties, I started meeting people who felt like home—likeminded friends, many of them neurodivergent too. They helped me feel accepted, less “wrong,” and slowly I began to understand myself in a new way.
In February 2026, I was diagnosed with ADHD. I’m still figuring out what that means for me: how my brain works, why certain things have always felt so hard, and how to build a life that actually fits me instead of fighting myself all the time.
I created Gentle Proof as a soft place for people like us—people who have felt out of place, too much, too sensitive, too scattered. This site is a cozy corner to notice the tiny signs of healing, share what we’re learning, and remind each other that our brains are not broken. We’re allowed to move at our own pace, to take up space, and to be loved exactly as we are.
